Akilah King- Instructional Coach- Math
As an Instructional Coach it is my duty to support every teacher so that they are knowledgeable and skilled in mathematical concepts and the use of technology in order to impact daily instruction. Part of LaVergne Middle School’s mission to empower all students to achieve excellence in learning. This will be measured by proficiency in Math, Reading, Social Studies and Writing with an emphasis on critical thinking. I will have done my job once I witness students show more resilience each year to be motivated, self-sufficient problem solvers which is a core skill that will be required in the future workforce.
