My vision is to create a classroom that energizes students to learn more about history, government and economics. My educational philosophy is: Every student will achieve academic excellence by engaging in challenging and meaningful learning in a safe environment that promotes creativity, respect, self-esteem and personal growth.
One of my professional goals this year is to continue developing my classroom website, where I plan on posting a lot of information that will be helpful to both parents and students in staying organized and up to date in the class. If you are ever curious about what we are studying, you can check the page for an update. I will also be using Jupiter extensively. Please use these resources to access important information about the class - it should be a very helpful tool in finding out what we are learning, what you missed in class if you were absent, when homework or projects are due, and where you can gain access to even more in-depth information.
Parents - please check Jupiter often as I will be sending updates via Jupiter message.
Students - take full advantage of the calendar, worksheets, homework reminders, and message boards. Appropriate comments only, please.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Email is the best way to get a hold of me, firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you in advance for your commitment to this class. I have full confidence that this class will be positively enriching in an academic sense, and memorable.
