After months of preparation and dedication, the LaVergne Middle School Dance Team is celebrating a major victory after winning first place at the recent Regional Showstopper Dance Competition that was held on February 8th, 2025 . The win not only brings home a trophy, but it also earns the team a coveted spot in an upcoming national dance competition this summer.
The competition, held at Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, saw the team compete against top talent from across the region. With their flawless execution, creative choreography, and undeniable passion the LaVergne Middle School Dance Team stood out as the clear favorite among judges and spectators alike.
The team’s performance, which included a stunning routine blending and high-energy moves, earned rave reviews from the judges. The choreography, created by Kennedy C. Scruggs, was designed to showcase the dancers' talent and versatility, ultimately helping them secure the top spot.
Having secured a place in the national competition, which will take place this summer in Florida, the team is already hard at work rehearsing and fine-tuning their routines.
