Spectrum ELA LMS Mrs. Russell

All Lesson Plans are located in TEAMS! 
 
All distance learning students are expected to log in on the school website each day by 8:15A.M.  (School website--Student Tab--Attendance for Distance Learning--Select appropriate grade and homeroom teacher--Complete the attendance form.)
 
Grades will be taken weekly.  Student must have assigned work submitted the day of to be counted present for the teacher's class.

 

Check your grades regularly through Skyward using your assigned username and password. To get assistance with your Skyward username and password, please call the LaVergne Middle front Office at (615) 904-3877

Use Clever to access assignments in AMPLIFY.  There will also be select assignments in TEAMS and Microsoft Forms. 

Our ELA textbook is AMPLIFY.  You can find the online book through CLEVER. Students will also have a consumable book and writing journal they are able to use and write in.   

You can access your Office 365 account by clicking here, the username and password are the same as your computer login at school.

 

Zoom call schedule: Every Tuesday and Friday (Unless stated otherwise in lesson plans):

6th grade: 1:45 

7th grade: 8:45

8th grade: 10:30

Office Hours: Every Thursday from 12:00-12:45.

Updates and Messages in Skyward:  I will be sending whole class updates and messages in Skyward.  Please make sure you are checking those messages. If I need to address something specific to a student, I will email the student and the parent individually.

 

Troubleshooting for Clever and Amplify and Teams: 
If you are having difficulty getting Clever or Amplify to work correctly, please try clearing the cache or history in your browser.  Here is a video link to guide you through the process:
 
Teams Troubleshooting:
Your computer needs an update so restart your computer.

 If that does not work, try the following:

 >Click Start (Windows icon (4 squares) in lower left corner)

> Click user account icon (student's initials or a silhouette of man in the circle)

> Choose "Change Account Settings"

> On the left click "Access work or school"

> Click "Connected to Rutherford County Schools’ Azure AD"

> Click "Info"

> Scroll down and choose Sync

> Stay on the page and make sure it successfully syncs. 

> Restart computer and log in

 

If this does not work the device needs to be returned an d swapped out for another.
